B L Searle of Gamlingay, Bedfordshire

B L Searle, body builder based in Gamlingay, Bedfordshire were commissioned by Aalco to build the trial LoadsMORE vehicles. The 1st, on a Ford Transit chassis, was built with rear doors, and the 2nd was a rear curtain variant built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. The LoadsMORE Ford Transit now has a full year of service behind it, with two different companies - A plastics distributor and a parcel carrier.

Steve Searle, the owner of BL Searle was very interested in the concept from the beginning and helped Aalco develop the body from a builder’s perspective. During construction he found the LoadsMORE system very easy to assemble and estimates that now that they have built 2 bodies they could do a 3rd in less than 30 hours. What's more he was so impressed by the potential of the LoadsMORE vehicles that his company placed the very first order - for 2 bodies - in March 2006.
